My sbs was challenging in a way but i learned alot, one of the challenges i faced everyday was discipline but then the one that stood out amongst others was learners not having the ablity to construct proper sentences.As language teachers we should stress the importance of proper writing, as it is one of the ways we communicate to others, writing enables you to protray the type of person you are.
However not all of us to have the ability to speak but can write, which means teachers should focus on proper sentence construction and writing. Learners have to ability to express themselves in a meaningful manner but to put that into sentences is not the same.
I saw that most teachers were ignorant regarding this problem as the upper primary teachers blamed the lower primary as they are the foundations layers, they must cement proper sentence construction into the learners brain from day one, but its never too late for us to implement changes.
